I had the great pleasure of hanging out with Ryan + Ashley Sutton for a little family shoot a few weeks ago. I met Ryan and Ashley way back at Amanda + Kris’s wedding over a year ago. They are our favorite videographers in the area, in fact we recommend them to all our brides and yes, they do travel to Chattanooga! You can check them out and their fabulous work at Ryan’s Productions. I was thrilled that they asked me to capture their little boy, who is simply a HAM for the camera! Enjoy.

Ok, if you live near Chattanooga, or at least a days drive away, you have to check out the Yellow Deli. I’m not one to often rant and rave about a restaurant, I’m cursed with being a good cook, so going out to eat most of the time ends up making me think–”eh, I could’ve made this, and could’ve saved $30.” Which brings me to my next point…I’m kind of a tight wad. I think I inherited it from my mom. In fact we used to have a nick-name for her, “Nancy Save-a-buck.” It was a cruel nickname for someone who has sacrificed so much to give us so much (I divert).
Anyways, this story brings us to today. I’m typically a “no we can’t go out to eat cause we can’t afford it” husband/father, but today I felt like getting out on the town.
(1) We just finished our taxes and wanted to celebrate our pleasant surprise of a refund!
(2) We have a good friend, Katie, who just got accepted to this incredible paid internship in FL this Fall.
So my idea for the day…let’s go to Chattanooga, and no better place than….
The Yellow Deli. I found this place while driving around one day scouting locations for a shoot. I tried several times to go, but they’re closed on the weekends to celebrate Sabbath. However we finally went on Madisyn’s birthday and FELL IN LOVE with it! They people are so nice, and the food (all homemade stuff) is ridiculously good! Seriously, it’s like Panera on crack. You think you like Panera? This place blows Panera out of the water! It’s a very limited menu, sandwhiches, salads and a couple soups (the Chili Rocks!), but the limitations of choices is by far made up in the excellence of flavor. Their artisan bread with Sun Dried Tomatoes is out of this world! Seriously, put down your Turkey Frontega, or “Pick 2″ combo and head down there right now!
And now that I’m done ranting, here’s some other lovely photos from the day. (I had to try out a new lens I rented for a wedding at the Aquarium Chattanooga this weekend)
